About Katie
Katie brings her background of 25 years as a life coach, speaker, author, comedian, and creativity coach to her interior design process and to her paintings. By utilizing her deep skills from life-coaching to assess how her clients want to feel in their space, Katie is in a unique position to guide interior design clients as well as custom abstract painting clients through the process of change, renewal and creation.
At the age of 29, Katie designed her own 2,500 sq foot home on the back of an IHOP menu and built it with her own hands with her husband. (Needless to say, she was young and hearty then, and only beginning to understand the joys of ice and Advil.) During her theatre career as an actress and director, she designed and built a 99-seat theatre and designed numerous sets.
She has worked with many contemporary art forms, including photography, glass fusing and abstract expressionist painting. Katie’s specialty as an improvisor, life-coach, and nationally acclaimed keynote speaker and author, is thinking outside the box. (Click here to learn more about how she teaches people how to use the tools of improv comedy in everyday life). Her unusually creative eye has helped home-owners turn their ideas into gorgeous creations: cozy nesting grounds, sleek contemporary entertaining spaces, backyard oases, and inspiring transformations to long-stagnant areas of their homes and lives.
Her enthusiasm keeps the energy and creativity flowing as she helps you discover and design how you really want to live.
